Welbor makes a variety of actuators for downhole and subsea applications.  Our experience with the severe environments, and commitment to reliability and quality provide you with motion when failure is not an option.

Our motor-driven ballscrew actuators provide the maximum in electrically driven linear force.  Whether using a stepping gearmotor for precise positioning or a brushless torquer for maximum power,  ballscrew and leadscrew actuators provide high forces in applications where electric power is employed.

We provide motor- and solenoid-driven Hydraulic Pumps for driving pistons or setting inflatable packers.  Hydraulic systems can provide force transmission through difficult geometries.

Welbor uses proprietary epoxy compounds and a vacuum pressure impregnation technique for stabilizing and protecting wound assemblies.  The cure schedule and expansion properties prevent cracking, and the epoxy's temperature characteristics provide support while accommodating the thermal expansion of the wire.  The wound assembly can be potted into the solenoid or the bobbin can be replaceable.  The epoxy can be machined after cure to fit at assembly level.

Our magnetic modeling capability allows us to quickly evaluate the feasibility of a specific design and predict the performance of the end product.
